Pitch Black came out in July, and the next big Mega Evolution set is already around the corner. Here is what's confirmed so far about Delta Reign. Its cards aren't in NookDex's data yet, so no prices today; we'll come back after launch.

Date, size and prerelease

Delta Reign comes out on November 6, 2026, everywhere on the same day. Pokémon announces over 135 cards, including over 20 Trainer cards and over 35 special illustrations. These are minimums, so the final list can still move.

Prerelease tournaments and Build & Battle Boxes start October 24, 2026 at Play! Pokémon stores, two weeks before release.

One caveat: some sites say 113 cards, but that figure comes from the Japanese original's list (Storm Emeralda, M6). For the English set, stick with the official numbers above.

Mega Rayquaza ex leads the way

This is THE card everyone is waiting for. Mega Rayquaza ex returns to the TCG after XY – Ancient Origins. Early lists point to a special illustration rare and a gold Mega Hyper Rare version, like recent sets.

No price exists yet, and pre-release guesses deserve some suspicion: prices swing a lot in the first days.

Split Stadiums

The real novelty. Six Stadium cards make up three Legendary Stadiums: each Stadium is cut into two cards sharing one illustration. You need both halves in hand to play them, and once in play they count as a single Stadium.

It echoes the LEGEND cards of the HeartGold & SoulSilver era. For collectors, it means you'll need both halves to complete the set.

What will be on the shelves?

The usual products are expected: booster packs, a 36-pack booster box, a bundle, an Elite Trainer Box and a Build & Battle Box. Exact contents and prices weren't officially detailed when I wrote this, so I'm not quoting prices.

Worth waiting for?

If you chase Mega ex cards or Rayquaza, yes, especially the special illustrations. If you just want a complete set, give it a few weeks: launch prices usually settle after the first days.
